Appaloosa Museum Events 2010
Beginning July 13 on Tuesdays bring a picnic lunch to have outside & visit with 'Sweetie' the Appaloosa in our Live Exhibit or take in a game of horseshoes. Afterwards, at 1 PM come in and enjoy a free showing of the 1966 classic Disney film, Run, Appaloosa, Run,.
In this movie, Mary Blackfeather, an Indian girl, and her horse Sky Dancer, participate in the wildest, roughest horse race in America. The excitement begins when Mary rescues the Appaloosa colt from a mountain lion, but the problems begin when she is forced to sell the horse at auction. Sky Dancer must pass from one unworthy owner to another before he and Mary are reunited. The movie runs approximately 50 minutes and admission is free, but donations are always appreciated.
